Throughout the Gospels, Jesus invites all sorts of people to follow him, to walk with him, to go on a journey with him. Jesus invites fishermen, tax collectors, religious leaders, men, women, young, and old. He invites all of these people to come and be a part of what he is doing in the world. Jesus invites us to come alongside him and embrace a new way of life. In fact, before followers of Jesus were called Christians, they were known simply as followers of “The Way.” In this sermon, we are talking about “The Way of Life.”
